June 28, 2006 – A journey to Pushkar, India in Asia

Pushkar, A Hindu Pilgrimage Town

We passed through the Muslim pilgrimage town of Ajmer on the way to the Hindu pilgrimage town of Pushkar. The Brahma Temple is located here, where many Hindus come to visit. Pushkar is also known for the annual Camel Fair, which usually happens in November.

In the afternoon, we walked around the main street in the little vegetarian hippy town, which surrounds a lake. Later on, we experienced a sandstorm followed by a monsoon. So, we saved the visit to the Brahma Temple for the next morning.
