October 13, 2005 – A journey to Kakunodate, Japan in Asia

Kakunodate: Samurai District

We went to Kakunodate to explore the preserved samurai district. Stopping by the day before on the way down from Tazawako would have been a better idea, as it is only 15 minutes from there. The samurai district was nice to see since it was something different from what we had seen already. But it wasn't worth the three hours round trip bullet train ride.

After Kakunodate, we headed back to Tokyo for our last night in Japan.
