June 20, 2006 – A journey to Ranong, Thailand in Asia

Soaking in Thai Mineral Waters

From Krabi, took a 7-hour local bus ride to Ranong, the hot springs center and rainiest area in Thailand. Foreigners come here mainly to do a visa run over to Kawthoung in Myanmar, in order to extend their stay in Thailand. Rick wanted to come here to soak in Thai mineral waters!

Ranong turned out to be quite a relaxing and very Thai town with lots of lush greenery. Didn't see too many tourists here. Very quiet with not too many people wandering around, except at the market nearby.
