February 11, 2006 – A journey to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay in South America

A Quiet Stay

Took the ferry from Buenos Aires over to a Portuguese-influenced little port town called Colonia del Sacramento in the country of Uruguay. Not much to do around here besides riding a moped around the cobblestone streets and lying on the beach. Since the town is situated at the mouth of a river that flows into the Atlantic, the water is a muddy brown. I did go for a run in the other direction away from the sea, and the countryside is quite lovely.
